CASE STUDY

Security

Cardinal Peak helped one startup develop an embedded video appliance based on Linux that receives up to 16 channels of analog (standard-definition) video input, compresses the video using a software MPEG-4 part 2 encoder, and streams live or stored video over the Internet using ISMA-compliant RTP and RTSP protocols. By utilizing a combination of our own intellectual property cores and some proven open source components, we were able to minimize development costs and time to market, while delivering a highly reliable solution capable of continuous operation for weeks on end.
